POLL: Gaiters -- Yes or No

I never wore them in Arizona.
I wore them every once in a while in Utah when the snow was deeper than usual.
I wear them almost all the time in Montana. Deep snow, cold weather, tall grass, cutting wood, crawling over deadfalls, crossing small creeks/seeps/marshy areas, these are the things that I contend with almost daily when I am scouting/hiking/hunting/working.

I wear gaiters basically always..i use the First Lite brambler gaiters all summer to keep rocks out and bugs etc and help with water crossings. They weigh nothing and work like i want them to. Once the weather turns i use the warmer full size gaiters. I have both first lite version and outdoor research. I have used gaiters for years and will continue to do so especially in wet weather

I used gaiters all the time in Florida and in Maryland, both as protection from wetness and from snakebites (not all gaiters do this, if you need snakebite resistant ones make sure they say that on the packaging). I never had any issues with snakes, but it sure increased my peace of mind! I anticipate I will use them here in Colorado as well. It's a great piece of gear to have.

i love my kuiu gators and i always wear them. every morning in the fall the tall grass is always wet and or frosted over. for this reason alone i would wear them. another reason i love them is they seem to keep my boots tied!! they also cover the areas that take most of the beating on your legs, protecting your expensive pants.

best reason to own some I can think of is, better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.

I've been on the fence awhile regarding gaiters. Should I get a pair or not? Tell me why I should buy some or why I should save my money.

If there is remotely a chance of snow, you will want them, especially if there is any accumulation.

My horses gaiters are tall enough i don't wear them when riding to often haha
