I have never applied for New Mexico should I start applying to buil bonus points. Is there a points only option or just apply for the hardest to draw unit?

No points for NM. Its a straight draw every year... truly one of the "luck of the draw" states. As a non-resident, you have the same odds as all other non-residents. If you hook up with a guide, and have the correct documentation, your draw odds can increase significantly as a non-resident. Basically, draw preference is given to residents, then non-residents with a guide, then non-residents without a guide. Some think its bad, some think its good. I think there are positives and negatives about it, but at least you have a chance every year to draw.
Gotcha thanks I thought they had a bonus or loyalty point for every year you apply and aren't successful you get an extra chance the next year .
