Ive had an eye on the pelican knock off for a while. I had to run by HF to get a 3/8 breaker bar and noticed the cases were on sale. Picked up the 3800 and configured to store my 9mm pistols. Im happy with the way it turned out.

If you look at the specifications it shows that it is 6 1/4" tall. Plenty of room for a pistol to be upright like buckbull has in his picture.

Like a lot of things you might need to look at one in person to see it it meets your needs.

There are 4 peices of foam in the case. Top and bottom are solid peices not intended to cut. The two middle peices are pinch and pull that are pre cut. Really easy to customize.

The case is a Apache 3800. It was on sale for $27, reg price was around $37 i think. The 2 pistols on the right are full frame. One a colt governrment mark 4 and the other is a beretta 92. Smaller one is a smith shield.

Buy one if it makes you feel good, but look for the "Made in China" sticker. I admit to buying some stuff at HF, but now try my best to support products made in the U.S.

I don't plan on it as I carry my 2 target pistols to matches in an old aluminum camera case that I used for storing my old 35mm camera & lenses in when I was out in my boat It's waterproof and almost indistructable. The only disadvantage is it is heavy!
