Pinto muledeer fawn.jpgSpotted Fawn.jpg

Finally got some pictures of a "Pinto" fawn that was dropped this summer. The doe shows some spotting, but not like this little tyke. Really pretty. We have quite a few mule deer that are here all the time. Bucks come in during the winter for the rut and then pretty much disappear.

Never seen the like personally. Pretty cool picture.

There was a u-tube video going around recently that showed a herd of piebald WT, including a mature buck. Must have been 8-9 or so of them. Some areas may protect them from hunting? I seem to recall hearing that sometime ago. But one would make a unique trophy if legal.

That's very cool. If it turns out to be a buck and somehow makes 6 years of age and grows a 200" typical rack, please call me. :D

It is actually called a "piebald" with that coloration.

I had a very large buck that I was putting the stalk on last year in Utah that had it but he busted me at 20 yards in some brush and I never got a shot at him with my muzzle loader. He would of made a very unique mount.

I still wonder if I should of tried a shot but then I'm glad that I didn't.

Awesome pictures CC! I've seen a few piebald blacktails here in California and even a couple albinos. I shot a piebald cow elk in Colorado a few years back it sure was pretty I packed the hide out too
