It is interesting in how the writer wrote the article:
"Most big game hunters have been required to wear blaze orange as a safety measure to help distinguish themselves from other hunters."
So you can tell who the other hunters are while wearing blaze orange?
"In addition, a textile expert testified that fluorescent pink is more visible to humans than orange during the fall."
This sounds like the textile industry wanted to get more business out there.
I believe that when I read about it in Colorado that they were using the pink to appeal to women hunters.

How visible is pink to game animals?I have literature that shows orange is black/white to deer.Blue is very visible.
Has pink been tested on the light spectum for deer or elk?I'll check the internet.Any idea guys.I tend to follow pink around because its a femine color,but if Scott is wearing it I will hunt a different unit.

If it is worth it I am game for almost anything.
I even went to a Colorado Avalanche game in Denver when they were playing the Detroit Red Wings and rooted for the Red Wings since the person that gave me the rink side tickets was a Detroit fan. Once I explained what I was doing and why I got a lot of free beer from those sitting around me. This was back in the day when it was a fight waiting for a hockey game to break out when those two teams played.
I hear mullets go good with pinkI don?t look as good in pink as Scott does so I?ll stick to Orange.

What about that eye searing fluorescent green that highway workers are sporting these days? That's more visible IMO than the orange or the pink.

As a responsible hunter, you will be required to burn your "man card" before modeling pink while in the field.
