I have already applied for my Desert Sheep, Elk & Moose tags. Point only for Deer this year, after burning all mine last year. All that is left is Antelope. Looking at a new unit and will be scouting it next month, just before tags are due. Going to spend 3 or 4 days with my spotting scope looking around. If it doesn't pan out, probably go back to my original unit. I have 14 points, so I need to be sure before I push the button.

Good luck guys. I'm waiting for a couple more weeks to go by so I can better understand how the deer are handling Mother Nature this winter. I'm hoping to burn my 11 mule deer PPs.

Good luck CC; I'm sure you're playing long odds for the moose and sheep, but you still gotta play the game. I hope to burn my 9 deer points on a muzzle-loader tag in your area. I'll know in a few days if I got a cow tag in WY. Six of us are set for a guided elk hunt in WY in 2017, so I need to preserve those points.

Good luck fellas. I have most mine lined out for CO. Still trying to decide between four units in NV for desert sheep. Two near home but quality is down. Two down south, but I don't know the area and there are a lot of tags given.

Good luck C.C. On the sheep and Moose. Going for long shot New Mexico elk. Another point for elk and deer in CO. and points for WY deer and elk. And as you know I plan on doing OTC Archery in CO for elk.

Good luck in the desert sheep tag draw! I'm in too, hoping one of these day's to actually draw. I'll be interested in what you find for antelope and if you think it's worth spending 14 points. I'm sitting on 10 and will be burning them this year for a unit close to home. Need to decide if I want to get the muzzleloader tag that only takes 4 or 5 points or a rifle tag that takes 8 or 9. I was originally going to hold out for one of the top units but I'm to far behind with point creep and it's getting to where I can't draw any tags as a second choice, leaving me in the cold for antelope hunting every year. The archery buck tag I drew in 2012 as a second choice now takes a point to secure it. Gotta love point creep...

Good luck everyone. I'm getting ready to drop my PP collection on a 4th season Colorado hunt...anybody have a winter update for Colorado and if winter kill will be an issue for the 2016 season? I scouted near Naturita CO last month and it wasn't too bad yet.

Got to wait for WY and AZ draw results to come out... and to see how the winter progresses. I have my eye on an archery sheep hunt I am hoping to draw. Fun time of year!

We have had lots of snow, but not enough to hurt the deer. Had almost 3 feet a month ago, but now almost gone.

That is very good news CC. Thanks for the update and good luck in the draws. As they say in the movie, may the odds be ever in your favor, or something close to that.

Quick head's up. Since I'm sniffing at a NR unit 61 archery elk tag, CO should be "changing" the rules to yank the carrot away any day.

I'm not going to apply until March 30 just in time to buy me a trophy fishing license. Looking to burn deer points too.

Are you being facetious, or are you aware of a change being considered in CO?

No, just realistic. No matter where I apply every state does this to me. I'm a magnet for point cheapeners.
Gotch ya, thought I might need to go to the ER for heart palpitations there for a moment. Hope you get those tags.

Dont forget about the hybrid draw guys it worked out great for a buddy of mine in area 79 for antelope. You just need 5+ points to be eligable and it is only in a handfull of the premium tags that take 10+ PP to draw for example area 3 gives out 41 random draw odds and a hand full of people drew with 5-12 points.
