Just wanted to share something that bugs the heck out of me.
It's the people that bag a nice buck and then pose the deer and go sit about 5 or 6 feet behind it for the picture. They try to make an already nice buck look bigger than it really is. You are not fooling anyone.
Just hold it by the rack and be proud of the animal you have just taken.

Take a look at this ARTICLE. I think this illustrates the point of what you are talking about. Take the time to pose the animal well and you won't have to make it look bigger than it is.

I do that sometimes, if set up carefully it puts a nice emphasis on the animal. It's unfortunate that you let the way people take pictures get you you.

I'm guilty!!!
Gr8bawana if this really bugs the crap out of you, I can only imagine what a wreck you must be if you watch CSPAN or the evening news

Maybe we need a "Bugs the Heck out of me sticky thread"
Locked gate / Closed trail ATV riders bug the crap out of me.

I actually parked and walked a closed jeep trail out in Wyoming this year.
Some "Barbie Jeep" looking bright yellow baby hummer came down the trail we were walking.
I would have been pissed if I wasn't laughing at their ROAD hunting rig

There's an alternative one of that deer floating around, but it may be the most truthful political pic I've ever seen.

10 25 14 145.jpg Here I am behind my deer, just trying not to slide down the hill! You can't get behind ANYTHING without making it look bigger, but I know what you mean....I have seen the pics of the guy sitting down by the tail and with the rack propped up. The ears usually make the picture so you can guess the width, etc. All that being said, comparison is the thief of joy! This buck is #1 in the record book. MY record book! Happy hunting, boys!

When I see a picture in which the animal's head is tilted toward the camera or is much closer than the hunter, my first thought is, "I wonder how big that animal really is?" The distortion creates an inaccurate depiction of the animal. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but I much prefer realistic poses.
