phone scope adapter, i need advice

i need advice on this. i have a 5s phone and going to get a phone scope with the adapter that goes over the life proof case or the otterbox defender case. How do the work for going over a phone case? I don't the exact otter box case but a generic case and wondering if you think that would work? Or is the best thing to do is just get the phone scope that just slides over the i phone 5s with out the case?

You can purchase either for the phone only or for the otter box. When I bought mine Sportsman's warehouse was our of the model that fits with the otter box.

I have the adapter for use without the case. PITA to pull it out every time. I didn't realize they made an adapter for use in the case. Duhh!

I bought a cheap case, bought the make your own adapter kit and made my own. Keep my extra case with the adapter mounted on it when I want to use it.

This is what I did as well. When I get a new phone I just buy another cheap case and transfer the disc from the old to the new.
