For elk or deer in units that have a fair amount of tags. How does a party entry work? If one of the applicants come up in the draw does the other hunter receive a tag if a tag is still left. If someone could explain the process as I am unsure of how it works.

Works a little differently...NMDGF process is that they randomly select an APPLICATION and see if first choice is available. If not, they check second choice...if not available, they move to third choice. If not, then they move on to the next application. So, it is by application...not by hunter.

If one hunter on the app draws, then that means all hunters on the app drew. If one didn't draw, none drew.

So as long as there are tags when the application comes up all in party draw. I think I will be ok with entering as a party. The units I am looking at have a few tags.
