Paradox Packs

We are doing a pack giveaway on the forum which is not really discussion and Q and A based.

This thread is to answer any specific questions, which usually are fabric based , so I'll go ahead and answer that starting off.

Our most popular fabric is the Gray VX21 shown above. The lightest, although slightly more expensive is the Cuben Ranger Green, while the most heavy duty is the Black VX42 with the Camo X33 just a little less robust. Both the VX42 and X33 are pretty comparable to 500 D Cordura, with the exception they are waterproof. If you have any questions, please feel free to post.

We are relatively new here on the forum, so I thought I'd fill in a bit of the backstory on our company. After a successful elk hunt in 2012 where my supposedly top of the line backpack didn't perform the way I wanted it, Kevin and I started to talk back and forth about what it would take to make the perfect western hunting pack. That discussion lasted months and would fill several novels. In early 2013 I prototyped a new frame that has an articulating joint. We filed a patent and started Paradox Packs. Kevin and I are both ideologists, and we both left secure jobs to pursue this opportunity.

Our core beliefs on packs are that they must be capable of handling extremely heavy loads, yet comfortable with a very light load. The packs have to be ultralight, strong, durable, and pack bags are waterproof so that a rain cover is not needed.

Our packs are proudly made in the US, and there is a lot of our own elbow grease that goes into them.

We're proud to be a part of the Eastman's community, and will be happy to discuss pack design philosophy, or answer any questions.

How about a gun or bow holder? Any ideas on how to strap them to these packs? I wasn't able to find anything like that for an accessory on your website unless I just overlooked it.

Gun hook for a gun carry method.
I know Nathan has done a bow several ways so maybe he will chime in.

The gun hook is a carbon fiber frame extension that weighs a half ounce and allows the pack to use the rifle sling you already own to carry the weight of the rifle. A shock cord butt strap locks the butt of the rifle down, but you've still got immediate access if game is spotted.

Our packs use a Talon compression pocket, and a bow can easily be compressed underneath it.

To be honest though if I'm hunting I want my bow in hand.
