Pack horses for Unit 21

Starting to plan my 2017 elk hunt and was attempting to research packers and/or pack horses that would service Unit 21. So far the only ones I can find are in the NW part of the state and in Pavilion. Are there any out of Baggs or Encampment?

Call the wildlife officer in the area he should be able to tell you the outfits in the area that can assist you.

Doubt you would need pack horses in Unit 21 with all the damn roads all over the place unless your going into the wilderness.

Yes it will be in or near wilderness. Approx 4-5 mile packout. Just wanted to have a plan in place just in case I needed it.

I know where you can get some horses. However depending where you are you may have to drive and pick them up. They are very affordable.
