Going to be some serious congestion in the mountains of NV this year... especially the Rubys! Tags damn-near doubled for archery, rifle, and resident juniors.

Seems like what they wanted last year but it took two years to put in effect. They actually lowered Mountain goat tags. I foresee a stoplight at Harrison Pass! The 101-108 changes always surprise me. They usually have a second draw for archery in that unit because they can't get rid of tags on the first round. I think they do their analysis during the migration?

Ya when I hunted up by Harrison Pass there needed to be a light then. No thanx. The Rubys is like a pumpkin patch with headlites everywhere you look. Oh well us guys that hike in know that all those road hunters push the big animals to us. I also think there will be mostly immature deer will be taken which isn't a good thing either but at least for this year with our mild winter there should be some big deer taken.

I think most of the mature deer/resident deer already know where the traffic is around that area very rarely have I ever seen mature deer around the roads there it's usually does with some young bucks still hanging around the herds. Last year in area 111-113 my wife had a tag I took her into a canyon where we were a bit away from traffic. We could hear 4 wheelers and trucks but once we dropped into the bowl we found 5 bucks grazing that felt completely safe knowing no one was going to hike to them. She was 5 months pregnant at the time to help with a visual on how easy the hike was. She was able to get a shot off but no contact was made.

I totally agree. I'm for the road hunters.
