Well back in March I had a line of duty struggle and a minor injury. I've been working through it and poked the bear one too many times. After the last 2 weeks in physical therapy, and missing work for the first time in my life, Its come down to the progress I make this week to determine If I'll need surgery and be out for a minimum of 3 months. Talk about terrible timing!

Diagnosis, MRI, and Xray all say severely herniated disc. Taking some roids and set up for injections this week. Fingers crossed I can pull through this and make something of a recovery before August 15th! I won't be near in the shape I want, but I'll hopefully pull it off!

Wish you the best!

I had 2 herniated disc, and one ruptured back in 2005. It took about 4 months for me to be back to full form, but I did it without surgery. I still have minor pain, but better than having back surgery in my mid 20's.

Ouch is right, I've had 2 herniated discs, then surgery then again herniated same two. I had great success with injections when I herniated the third one. I have been managing with exercise and antiinflammatories ever since. That was 8 yrs ago. I wish you luck as someone who knows how it feels!

As luck would have it, I was told today I need surgery on my elbow from a degenerative tendon. I have had prp injection and 3 cortisone shots in the past year, and no way am I missing my first archery hunt in Colorado. I was able to talk doc into 4th cortisone shot so we will see if that holds up!

Hopefully the elbow holds up. Those are painful. I have one has dislocated at some pretty inopportune times. The third time is not the charm for those types of injuries. Now it is just goes out randomly like Bruce Willis's shoulder in Die Hard, except I whine a lot more, lol. Hopefully those shots are not in my future.
