Well, Oregon has closed all hunting and fishing to non-residents. Of course, turkeys have just now shown up on my property and season opens the 15th!
I likely wouldn't shoot one but it would be nice to have the option too.

I would like to go fishing while here. I drove down from Alaska and with the boarder closed, I'm not sure when I will be able to drive back!
Oh well, I'll do plenty of fishing if and when I get back home to Alaska!

Bob, be safe. Here in Calif the DFG is postponed the start of stream fishing because of the size of a couple mountain counties. Most of our lakes are closed also. We’ll get thru this.

Thanks guys, I'll be fine. I have lots to keep me busy without leaving the property.
It will be good to get back to Alaska though...the morel picking should be awesome with all the wild fires we had last year!

Stay safe, friends!

Bob, not sure if when heading north you’ll be going thru Toad River in BC where you stopped while I was hunting. The lodge is closed for the corona 😡

Pete, I generally go north via the Cassiar highway, it bypasses the Toad river. It's a little shorter route for me and I see lots more bears.
We'll see when they open the boarder though! Hope to head up around mid-May.
