Opener on the 22nd!

Well for me atleast archery season wasnt very kind to me. I was fortunate to harvest my first ever antelope in august...... FINALLY! I am ready ready for the rifle opener though, freezer is empty and I have a wallet full of doe tags. Rifles are sighted in and ready to go, and I have retired the old orange vest this year :(, time to break a new one it. Is everyone else ready? Look forward to seeing some photos get posted of everyones success.

lol too funny!! I made all my antelope into jerky which was gone in like a few days... and my deer wasnt much meat and I didn't get my elk so my poor little freezer still is empty.. I got some doe tags left though ;)

Well, after last weekend's antelope hunt, I am down to an elk tag.

Those deer and antelope don't exactly fill the freezer, so a bull will be nice. It has been cool and snowing up high early this year; it could be a good season!

Its been quite some time since ive rifle hunted since in washington you have to declare archery or rifle and get to hunt one season, but im excited to give it a shot again! Archery season was alright to me I missed a nice buck and passed on several smaller ones. Still havnt found a decent elk spot but ill keep looking...
