online maps for public ground

IKIC is right. the Hunt on X maps are available online. You buy the map you need, then download to basecamp for computer viewing and then transfer to a GPS. Or this is how I have always done it. Not sure if it has changed or not. I really like the maps they have. They have elevation on them as well.

I have yet to find a better site. For $10 or $12 or something, it will you show you every big game unit in all the western states and all the public land. You can also look at different views like satellite image, topo, terrain, etc. If you gave me a unit number in any state, I could tell you within 5 minutes of what the terrain looks like, public land availability and access points.

For OnXMaps, I believe you have to buy the state before you can look at it which is going to cost $100 I believe for 3-4 states. Is that correct IKIC?
