Was going through some of the old hunting items that were handed down from my Grandfather to my father and now to me. I found these 3 old Ammo boxes and thought they look pretty cool. Was thinking about having some kind of display case made where i could enjoy them every day. I also have a couple very old 32 & 38 revolvers that i think would look good displayed with them. Is there any way to date these old Ammo boxes?IMG_20190922_102306113.jpg

Remington is obviously still in business. Despite any past mergers/whatever, I bet if you contacted their customer service they'd help you date that first box.

Given they were bought by the same person I'd bet they were also bought around the same time - within a few years of each other anyway. Maybe it's a start?

A.P.C- The Bottom Box Austin Cartridge Company was an Austin Powder Company subsidiary manufacturing cartridges for small caliber arms and bought by Western in 1907. The initial company was founded in 1833 I believe.

Here's what I found on a quick web search.

1926: Remington begins to produce their famous "Kleanbore" ammunition.
