Grew up in South Carolina, in the foothills of the appalachian mountains chasing whitetails and whatever else moved all throughout the hills and hollows. I'm a member in private northeast kansas hunting club, and through that i have gotten to know a few whitetail outfitters and fellow hunters. I've grown to be quite the whitetail addict over the years but, since moving to oklahoma (which has great whitetails as well) I find the "western" hunts drawing me in more and more. I've gotten hooked up with a big landowner in Nebraska and hes going to let me come hunt Muleys on his land (brother of the man who used to guide hunts on our lease) and ever since he gave me the go ahead I have been trying to figure out where my next hunt will be. And then from there I've started making a list of my life goals as far as hunting is concerned and I have the list of animals, but the where and how are a completely different thing. I just started putting in this year on Northern arizona Mule deer and western Colorado Mule deer based on what my father in law and his friends suggested (he has been quite the successful hunter). Living close to 12 hours away from most of the rockies I can only assume that guides will be a necessity for me to successful. Don't get me wrong I would love to go out and do a complete DIY bow hunt on a B&C animal but I'm not so foolish as to think I can do that and only spend 10 days total hunting and scouting. So I have come here and other forums to find out information and tips on the where and how question to my lifes hunting goals. I don't expect anyone to come to me and say , "here is the Lat & Long to the animal, it will score this, and it will be a x yard shot.." I just want to learn about the unit, the draw opportunities, and try to set myself up for the most success in my travels.

But, in short, If I never kill a B&C elk, or mule deer, or anything else, I'll be just fine. I just want to go out, enjoy God's creation and at least make a memory or two for myself.

Thanks, and I hope to get learn some things from here and at least get pointed in the right direction.
