I was looking in the Wyoming regs on OHVs for their rules concerning cased/secured guns or bows like Colorado has. I don't remember that I had to have my rifle in a zippered or hard case and completely unloaded the last time I hunted in Wyoming. Nothing in the new regs that I could find. Anybody know?

The rules for carrying guns on OHVs (and other vehicles) are minimal in Wyoming. I'm pretty sure you can even carry a gun with a bullet in the chamber...but I never do so. And they don't need to be cased when on an OHV like they do in Colorado.

We case our just for protection from the elements while riding. Lots of folks ride with their rifle slung over the shoulder. No regs on firearms or bows in vehicles.

Yep same here....too much dust on the rifle & scope. The only thing I hate about Colorado's regs is no ammo in the magazine. You can tote one around in a car or truck with the magazine full, but not on an ohv.

Just talked to Wyo G & F...basically no rules on carrying firearm in ohv. Can be loaded...even in chamber!
Wyoming gun regs on an ATV/UTV are the same as the ones for Cars/Trucks. No restrictions, no case required, loaded with one up the pipe is OK (but dumb). Residents can also carry concealed without a permit. I didn't realize that Colorado had that "Unloaded and in Zippered case" requirement. The last time I had to comply with silly rules like that was 40 years ago in Wisconsin.

Bow has to be in a case too on an ohv!
