2 1/2% of the tags. Outfitter welfare. Crappy management. License fee increase funneled to the general fund.

Ya............sounds like a plan.

We are going to get railroaded on this one. ODFW has already put out the bohoo letter showing all the critical positions that will be let go if the legislators dont pass the fee increase. Amazing that none of the noncritical staff is shown. I too do not mind a fee increase IF it is truly needed. ODFW has been mismanaged for years. I do not mean to malign the hard working employees but the upper brass has been horrible. Their mission is slowly looking more like California's. No offense to you guys - I am originally from there - but you have been taking it in the shorts for a long time. A young family of four can not afford to hunt and fish as a family in this state anymore. We are going to keep losing the young hunters to these fee increases till there is no one else to pay them. If they want more revenue they should cut the fees and they will get a lot more folks buying tags & licences. This subject just burns me up.

Id be ok with the hike if it went towards helping the animals and to keep access open to our public lands like the teeters road closure in the ochocos by shwabs granddaughters.im not ok with it if its for the general fund.

channel 6 koin in Portland had an article about this and they discovered that nearly 80% of odfw time was spent "consulting"? don't really know what that means though I know it not managed with any common sense.sounds like our tag prices will be doubled!!! pricing the blue collar out of the woods.this sucks!!!not a way to manage our animals..I don't even know why they got all those office people? it doesn't help the critters out in eastern Oregon?couger control and wolf control is whats needed,,,not wolf "new areas of activity"news letters e-mailed every few days.quit spending money on wolf news letters and start spending it on water guzzlers for the deer and elk for a change.
