Maybe it's on somebodys ranch and is semi tame. I find it hard to believe a wild mule deer would allow someone to pet it like that.
The guy says it's on the snake river but it could be anywhere. Having the donut on the antler means the deer already had some interaction with another human very recently.
I'm very skeptical.
