Oahu Bowhunting Opportunities

I am getting stationed back out in Hawaii (Oahu), last time I was there I had no time (deployed 3 times in 3 1/2 years). This time it is going to be different. Trying to get some general orientation/guidance on bowhunting on Oahu. I know of the Wild Pigs and Wild Goats on Oahu, just never really looked around for their habitat the last time.

I don't have much to add besides the fact that there are wild turkeys on one of the islands you can hunt as well. Our company attorney took his family to Hawaii and was able to shoot a gobbler.

Eastmans just had a pretty good article on bow hunting in HI. It was in the last EBJ I think. I'm definitely hunting something if I go back.

I saw a great video not to long ago on bow hunting Hawaii. Flip flops and shorts! Also Fallow deer, sheep (2 species I believe). Definitely something I have on the bucket list. A license and hunters safety card are all you need, no tags if I'm not mistaken and year round seasons for most game. Airfare was the biggest expense for me when researching, $95 for non res tag if I remember right.
