Lots of green and good forage. Animals are fat. High elk calf survival rate this year. We watched 2 herds of 40-50 elk and each had between 28-36 calves in each herd. Mule deer look very healthy also. Some pics below.L1.jpgL2.jpg

It seams like I can always find those bucks and bulls before the season starts but as soon as the hunters hit the hills they go into hiding.

Thanks for the photos and report. Good luck to you sir. We are heading to unit 12 for muzzy cows. Can't wait to get there

Nice pictures no doubt. I haven't been out just yet. No hunts for me this year but would like to get out and look see quietly with binocs and spotting scope... Fun to watch the deer and elk.. Can't wait for fall 2017. Good luck to you out there...

We go in 14 Sep till 25th. Then back in for 1st rifle same spot. Should be good!!! Really healthy animals for the 4-5th straight year.
