NR Pref Points for 2018 Draw

Just bought my point for deer and antelope, now have 12 for deer and 5 for antelope. I think I'll be able to get tags for both next year for a combo hunt. Been sitting on the deer points since the points started, so now I'll use them.

That is around $800 in PP if I am correct. Still a lot less than an outfitted combo hunt. I bet you have a spot picked out by now.

You can get some great tags with that many points. I've got 6 points for deer and that starts to get into some good areas, but 12 is terrific.

Thought you cased in your CO deer points? Funny, I just bought my Wyoming points for deer/antelope/elk about 5 minutes ago.

Oops, did see this was a Wyoming forum, not Colorado. That makes sense. Scored on our Colorado draw this year, but thinking about a Wyoming hunt as well for 2018, somewhere to cash in a handful of deer or elk points on a public land hunt.

Just to clarify, you bought preference points now (2017), and will be able to apply for tags for the 2018 season? I'm thinking about applying next year for deer and antelope, but wasn't sure if I could still buy points this year and still apply next year. 6 antelope and 2 deer currently. Haven't bought points yet this year. With 7 antelope and 3 deer I'm thinking antelope unit 68 and region E deer for a combo hunt for my dad and I. He has the same point totals. Any insight on that unit and region? Thought I'd ask since I know you (Colorado Cowboy) are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks

Buy point for this year (2017) from July thru September and can be added to point you already have and used next year. I am waiting for the statistics that include this year to be released before I make any choices. I'll be hunting antelope as a group with some friends, so I need to see all their points so we can average and see where we come out.
