Notification of comment on post

Is there a function to set on my profile for me to get an alert if someone comments on a thread I commented on or started? I think it would be a good idea if there isn't already. If there is one, please guide me in the way to set that up

Click on "Form Actions" on the menu bar. Select "General Settings, and then modify your settings under the "Default Thread Subscription Mode:" option.
