Has anyone done this hunt or know anything about it? It looks like it has plenty of public land but does any of it hold deer? I'm not looking for a monster. I would be more than happy with just seeing a few 140+ bucks on this hunt. And if I came home with something around 140 I would be very happy. If anyone could help me out I would apperciate it.
Thanks,

Probably the second statement. I have hunted the Silvies Muzzy hunt that happens at the same time. The deer just went through rifle season, so they were hard to find.

The problem with that hunt and the other muzzy hunts that are scheduled around then is that they have just got done being chased by rifle hunters. If they were pushed back a couple of weeks they would be much better!

my brother and I scouted that area late last year and found that the unit had way too much private land down low, and too much road access up high for our liking. The only idea we had was to stay around the top border line that is close to Stawberry Wilderness, but I am afaid that is probably a freeway during hunting season. Saw a few deer and expected to see a couple good bucks roaming around after the rut, but we were pretty disapointed.

second on Umpqua Hunter. I am going out of state for the first time this year.
