Noisy Boots

I have been using my current pair of boots for 5 years and I absolutely love how they handle rough terrain. During this years elk hunt they were very noisy and am wondering if anyone else has had this problem. If you have had noisy boots and were able to fix the problem I'd like to hear what worked. Thanks.

Where is the noise coming from? Uppers, laces, soles...... Might make a difference to be able to isolate the area, then wprk on it.

Wax the crap out of them before each trip out I've had some loud boots before and after a few treatments it stopped. Also depending on the boot you can send them in and have them rebuilt.

Thats what I do too. I like Sno Seal and use it liberally. I also silicon spray the uppers that are not leather.

It helps to to put your boots in the oven just to warm them up a bit to really get the wax to penetrate.
