During the last week of November 2012, the US Fish and Wildlife Service documented all radio-collared wolves in the Fox Mountain pack feeding on an elk together. Also, on November 28, 2012, we obtained a visual on the Fox Mountain pack, all known wolves were together and appeared healthy.

Wolves were in unit 12 when I was there a few years ago. A federal judge ruling against the enviros must be a first.

I guarantee that there are way more than 100 wolves in the Gila. There was a great canyon in 16A where my dad loved to hunt mule deer and many elk guides took there clients, but the wolves have literally destroyed all animal life in the canyon and last time we were there, we saw absolutely no mule deer or elk and no poop or tracks except for the wolf's poop an tracks. It was depressing to say the least.

Does anyone have any current info on sw nm wolves? Are they affecting deer/elk populations in the gila?
