My hunting partner was successful for elk this year...so I will be working on my calling and hauling skills.

I managed to pull my high draw odds deer tag, struck out on everything else. my brother in law drew a 5B rifle deer tag and his daughter drew a unit 34 youth rifle bull elk tag.

Drew a 100 barbary sheep tag! Welcome any input from those familiar with hunting free range aoudad, places to check out, whatever. I'm planning on doing it DIY.

It's a Feb 2019 hunt in units 32, 34, 36 and 37. Unit 34 has an E and W side and which you can hunt varies with the season. The tag also allows me to hunt OTC units before the Feb hunt.

I haven't hunted that unit group but I did hunt 29/30 in Feb 2017. I posted the gist of my hunting another thread. I could probably give some advice on what I learned about hunting them in general. Let me know.

Used to go every year but now haven't drawn anything since 2011. Body fading. Glad I made the best of my last hunt there.

For the first time EVER! I got extremely lucky and drew 1st Archery in Valle Vidale! Has anyone hunted this archery before?
All of it is great. But unless much has changed since 1996, I highly recommend you focus on Gold Canyon.

You should be able to get a lot of specific hunting locations via the MM archives and YouTube videos since it's once in a lifetime, and the hunter ain't goin back.

If you tag out early, stay to trout fish Shuree Pond at sunrise.
