NM Elk unit 36 MRS?

Hey all,

Doing research on NM unit 36 for rifle. In the MRS, it says public land is 0%. However, when I compare the mrs to other research magazines, those say there is good public access. I'm guessing the magazine mrs might have had an error in it or the other magazine is off. Can anyone shed some light on the unit or provide first hand knowledge...

Hum. I used to apply for units 36 and 34 (Lincoln National Forest). At the time, there was public access. I wonder if something changed or its a mistake?

As per an earlier post that's an error:

" The correct % of public land in Unit 36 is 53%."

If you do draw it, I have turkey hunted there and archery deer hunted there and can give you some places to start looking.

I love that late deer hunt, hunt all day, hit the casino at night, tag out early, go skiing!
