Next season option

Well cabin fever is setting in for me, dreaming up hunts for next year. I'm thinking about venturing into unit 17 for the mid September mule deer season. Done some preliminary research, haven't made any phone calls yet, probably wait to see how the winter plays out. I was wondering if anyone has wondered around in there on a back pack hunt, seems like it would be a real fun trip, but I've been wrong before. Looks pretty rugged, just curious what its generally like good? Bad? Ugly? Or all the above lol. PS-Not looking for coordinates honey holes or parking lots.

Yessir, never hunter Idaho yet and still learning their system.

Big bad ass country. Makes you feel small and, better be in superior shape or have access to horses.

How is the actual hunting if one can get in there? I assume not much competition...

It is the selway, very well know and lots of horse hunters hit it.
