Thanks! 02 is the last of the 7.3. The best of the best IMO and part of why I choose this truck. Im not new to the 7.3. I have 364,000 miles on my 96You have found yourself a truck that should serve you quite well with a horse of a engine and in my opinion the best one that they put into a Ford truck.
There are a couple of good diesel forums for the Fords out there if you plan on working on it yourself. If you would like them let me know and I'll get you the links.
Funny this one has 257,000 on it too! I wanted one with under 200,000 on it but i couldnt find a reason not to buy this truck. Then I found out he was looking for a new bull and I got him down to $7,000 and 2 miniature bulls I really needed to sell and the deal came together perfectly!!My '01 has 257,000 on it. Had to put few thousand into it this year but I ain't getting rid of it. Nice truck MM, it will serve you well.
I bought the camper recently but I had that truck for years.hey MM, did you just buy a truck with an in bed camper? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.
Actually there was no way that they would of met the EPA standards that came out after 2003 and still be a decent engine.Probably why they stopped making them.
I'd walk before I bought a 6.0 or 6.4!!!!!as a dodge owner but mechanic for over 30 yrs,,you did pretty good.that is the last year ford built a good ol truck,,,whatever you do,don't get a newer ford, your better off with the old 7.3 hands down.
