I have been running Cooper AT3's for a few years now. We run them on all of our company rigs too. They have a lot of siping for better snow and ice traction. I really like them. I just paid @ $245 ea. with mounting and balancing, tossing the old tires, and hassle free warranty where if I ruin one tire they replace the other three too. They are 285 75R 16's. I would never go anywhere out here without a set of chains in the rig too!
How long have you had any of them? I like them alot except for the cracks and oddly the worst cracks are on the inside of 1 of them. I would expect it more on the outside from the sun. If they get much worse I am going to go talk to Commercial Tire about it.

Toyo is my go to..have had them on every truck ive ever owned and never had to buy another tire..I have the Open Country MT's currently (right at 40,000 miles and still plenty left in them), but the new R/T's I think will be my next choice whenever that time comes...They are a mix between the MT and the All Terrain tire.. they look great, are 10 ply and have a great ride on and off road.

Hankook Dyna Pro MT's here. Just put another new set on yesterday. Old ones had 45,000 miles on them. Not bad for a 9100 lb. pickup!!

like most have said BFG, Goodyear are great tires. I have a set of Toyo MT's on my superduty that were on it when I bought I and so far offer the best size option at almost a 34" 10.5 wide setup. I will say that Toyo tires are heavier then most other brands which is kind of a turn off for me.

regardless I buy my tires at Discount/America's tire they offer the best warranty on tires. Heck I even got a warranty replacement on tires I didn't even buy from them.

amer tire is my go to place,,,I steer clear of those at les schwab as I do not support closing down our access roads to public land as the schwabs have now done in central Oregon.

We have ran Toyo all terrain and mud terrain tires on our truck until the price went outside of our budget range then we switched to Mastercraft. I'm impressed with both brands and seem to bite well when it's icy out too

Whatever tire you buy, just make sure you have chains to fit. I have only had to chain up a couple of times over the years, but when I needed to, I really needed to. Depending on where you will be help getting out can be far away and possibly expensive if you cannot get yourself out. I will never go without chains coming along.

I can't comment on the ko2's, but I have a set of the ko's on my Ford Ranger that are coming up on 60K miles, and still have some tread left.

Toyo Open Country A/T I have 31.5" and I've been in 2ft of snow, they aren't loud and les Schwabe guarantees them for 60k miles. But they are a little pricey. The Toyos also come in M/T and the new R/T

I work for the BLM and get to test a lot of tires on lots of different trucks. I really like wild country xtx sport for an LT application. The new BFG AT is really nice too, very quiet. Personally, I run Cooper ST Maxx. They are a little better than an AT tire and wear better than a MT. They eat snow better than every tire I have ever used. I think it's mostly a personal preference though.

FYI. I buy all my tires online through tirecrawler.com. free shipping on Cooper right now.

The toughest tire that I know of that can handle all angular rocks is the Toyo M55. Its an expensive tire but the only tire my 3/4 ton cummins doesn't rip through.

For anyone that wants maximum toughness and aggressive tread, with no regard to tread life or road noise, check out interco tires. Super swampers not only perform great in the mud, they handle rocks with ease. The jeep guys use them all the time in the desert. Anyway, the link above should take you to interco's cosmetic blemished sale site. You can catch some good tire deals on there, factory direct.

I have to totally agree. The original tsl is hard to beat but the bogger is still the baddest off road tire on earth.

I just put some Backcountry SQ-4 tires today on my Tacoma. It's a new tire from Les Schwab that just came out last week. 50k warranty. Hopefully they work out.
