thanks! what's funny is ive been eyeballing that chunk of land locked BLM land for a lot of years, landowners always said no just to cross their land to get to "OUR" land. I found some access yes property that I was going to check out and on way there this ole gal was on side of road in a big old truck and a flat. she had here spare but no jack, I changed her tire out for her and we got to BS'ng. her husband had owned a bunch of that land that was land locking the BLM. turns out, he passed away 2 years ago and she was holding fort down with 2 of her boys, running cattle and whatnot. long story short... before we took off she was handing me a $50.00 bill, I said no way, she insisted and I just couldn't take it, she said well what can I do for ya then....(shes in her 70's so lets not go there) ha, I said well, your land keeps ne from hunting a whole bunch of public land that's a couple miles behind your property, if I can have access through your land to get there ill be your best friend all the rest of my life. she said ok! she said I could hunt her land after cows get hauled off in October. I try to hunt only public land though, just something about it. sure it might be land locked but its still public. back in a spot my old man use to always tell us stories about, where he would always hunt growing up until access was taken away. felt like Christmas!
