I'm going to church up a Savage 111, 300 win mag DOA Hunter XP for my wife. It's was going to be for Christmas but with her first elk tag in Nov and it's a Bull tag in Nv I've decided to get it started now.
I ordered the rifle from my gun smith today it will be here by Friday. He will be installing a muzzle brake and lapping rings. I will be sending the the stock out for a custom paint job to a shop in Kansas City Mo. I wanted to have it hydro dipped but couldn't find the film that I wanted. These guys do awesome work from what I've seen and the cost isn't too bad, not as cheap as hydrodipping but it will be worth it when I see the look on the wife's face.
I'll post up pics as the build comes together. This is by no means a "build" just a few little things to make the rifle unique for my wife.
