California central, I'm afraid that if we don't get the liberals out of office here in Colorado we will be headed the same way.

In Illinois, before you can buy ammo or guns, you have to get a FOID (Firearm Owner Identification) that is managed by the Illinois state police. The foid card requirement has been around as long as I can remember and i'm 50.

Illinois banned the selling and purchasing of any AR style firearm, any rifle magazine more than 10 rounds and any pistol magazine more than 15 rounds. You get caught with an illegal magazine it is an instant felony.

The Illinois concealed carry permit law reads like a invitation to get thrown in jail. Once it was approved, I took the class and got the permit. I have sense read the actual law and its bonkers. You can't carry into a restaurant whereby they have made over 50% of their sales from alcohol from the past 2 weeks. How in the hell is a guy going to know that? Also, the law applies to parking lots as well. If there is a bar in a strip mall that meets the sales mark, you can't carry in any of the establishments that share the parking lot.

I didn't bother renewing my CCL.
