Don't know how many of you have Concealed Carry Permits, but I do and this effects me! :mad:New Mexico's new Director of Public Safety has changed the rules of NM's CC Permit. It no long will recognize 17 states permits that were previously OK in NM. I for one, will be limiting my travel to NM and probably cancelling my plans for a 2013 hunt there unless they change their attitude. I emailed their NMDPS website and told them I would no longer be traveling to their state. I am also writing the Governor and their Dept of Tourism. I only live 75 mile from farmington, NM and usually go there for some shopping monthly. we also spend a weekend or 2 in Taos & Santa Fe. No longer! Hope the NRA jumps on this as it is surley to effect Whittington Center in Raton.

What a shame, thanks for posting Colorado Cowboy! The link that Drhorsepower just posted says that they still accept concealed carry permits from Colorado though.

I frequent 4 other website forums about shooting and firearms. I also belong to a group of Colorado shooters that send a lot of email communication to all the members. I heard about it early yesterday morning and posted on all of them. I suggested emails and any communication necessary go to NMDPS about the foolish action by their new Director. It obviously worked as they were overwhelmed by protests. Didn't take long for them to back track! I guess with Internet, something like this can spread like wildfire.

Thanks for looking and any action you saw fit to do.

Thanks for your quick action CC. That would have affected me too, although I think there would have been a change with Arkansas. I have a cc and travel thru and hunt NM not to mention stopping at Whittington Center almost every trip.
