My name is Barry. I currrently live in Arkansas but my family and I are moving to Reno, NV in the summer of 2016. I spent a decade in the military and was lucky enough to spend half that time between California and Alaska. I got hooked on hunting out west. My buddies here in Arkansas think I am weird because I can't stand hunting out of a tree stand for white tails. I might be the only guy in Arkansas ground hunting public land out of an Eberlestock pack but that is the way I love to hunt. I love chasing just about everything. I am bringing 2 bird dogs with me. The oldest is 9 and was dynamite on ptarmigan and grouse in Alaska. The youngest has been retrieving squirrels really well in Arkansas. Once we get out to Reno I am going to start her upland work. If my oldest dog can make the transition from Grouse/Ptarmigan/Ducks to Squirrel and blood trailing deer, then my youngest can make the transition from squirrels and blood trailing to chuckar.
