I am near Sacramento, and am focusing on bow hunting this year, but looking forward to ALL kinds of hunting in the coming years. Will be taking up duck and pheasant hunting this year as well. Going deer hunting in A17 this year - any tips or hunting partners welcome!

Great information on this site.
Do you have a mentor or someone you know who hunts?
Get into a local archery club and start doing some tournaments or get into the local archery league. Most people are really helpful and friendly in the local club shoots.
