Found this forum after I subscribed to eastmans hunting mags. Figured I join in the discussion see if I can add anything of value and at the same time pick some more experienced elk hunting brains. If anyone needs some info on the crazies, unit 17 in ID or the breaks, or what the transition from an eastern whitetail hunter to a western elk hunter is all about, I might be able to help you out.

Bull ratio is really down in 270 right now. Seems like region 3 is faring ok though.

Whats going on with that Unit restructuring? Taking parts of several units and making a new unit, cant remember what the number supposed to be, and I cant seem to find the link.
