Hello everyone, just joined in here yesterday. Got referred over from a now dead forum by JimP.
My name is Wade and been hunting all my life. 48 years old at this point.
Always looking to hunt new game or new States as money allows.
Looking forward to sharing here.

Doing this on my phone so may be a little messed up.

Glad to see you over here Wade you will find a bunch of great guys over here.

There are a number of us that migrated over but had to use different user names but they should know yours when you post.

Welcome! What states and species do you hunt?
Well Colorado first of course. Wyoming Antelope quite a bit in the past. Applying Utah but only hunted swan so far. Arizona javelina and coues deer off and on.
Texas whitetail, aoudad and hogs when I can afford it.
Hunter moose in Newfoundland last year and headed to Alaska next year first caribou..

Well, you're a newbie to the forum but not to the sport. Look forward to what you have to share.

Happy to answer any questions. It was a good hunt and I killed a small bull. I would do many things different if I ever hunted moose again but well worth the experience for me.

The biggest thing Newfoundland has going for it is high success and lots of moose. The cost of getting there and the cost of getting the meat home is very high though. About 2k for just those 2 things.

I'm more interested in the experience than getting a big bull, but want to do it on the cheap. Doubt I'll ever be lucky enough to draw a CO tag. Thanks for the info on Newfoundland.

I thought it would be cheap. lol

The hunt was 4k but by the time everything accounted for it was closer to 7k. And I wouldn't do the lodge hunt again, fly in only if going and that adds another 1500.

If a guide was not required by law it would be an easy diy hunt though.
