Hi Dudes,
Another day another forum...this one hunting. I'm actually on a lot of fishing forums, mostly California and Oregon based...some of you may know me as birddog on other forums, on Eastmans I'm Salmonguy. I live in Sacramento CA and love to hunt and fish. I hunt California every year for deer, I also hunt whitetails in Indiana every year. I'm trying to branch out now and hunt more species and states elk, antelope, and maybe someday sheep if I get really lucky. Of course I'm late to the game for my points, I never used to put in for point in every state. I tend to not really care about hunting the best units, and tend to units I have a chance to hunt.
Being almost 40 and never putting in for other state I'm behind on points, so I dont expect to draw great units. I tend to gravitate to the units that take 2-3 points maximum. I believe in helping out fellow hunters and many have helped me out in the past. If any of you need help in California, I'm a pretty good resource....its a karma thing. I've been lucky to shoot some nice deer here in California.
I also salmon fish a lot. Salmon are probably my favorite species to fish for here in Norcal, especially on the open ocean. I have worked as a deckhand on a few charter boats and enjoy teaching people how to fish. Anyway, thank for having me and I'm looking forward to learning more from you all.
