Howdy,

Just an Arkansas hillbilly here from the Ozarks. Have been a mechanical engineer in Memphis, TN for the last 3 years. Currently debt free and looking to move to western Montana, Colorado or somewhere similar once I find work.

It's in Montana...going to be my first out-of-state hunt AND my first public land hunt. I'm lucky enough to own a couple hundred acres of prime Ozark hardwoods which I've always hunted.

DIY archery Pronghorn probably isn't the best to start with but that's what I drew. Going to spend a week or so in SW MT. Should be fun and will sure beat this office.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your hunt and with finding work and moving to MT. If I could make it work I would move out there again in a heartbeat. I miss MT bad! At least June through about November.

Appreciate it. I miss the mountains. The delta flatlands just aren't for me

Welcome I just left my place in southern Colorado where it was 39 in the coolest mornings and 68 - for daytime highs. My place is located 25 feet from the national forest and walking to hunt elk, bear, deer and antelope, cats , too. It is 8700 ft and winter provides the best snowmobiling in the world according to me and Bobby Unser. Its 60 miles to the Jicarilla Apache reservation and some of the best hunting there is. This might be a way for you to go in debt, only problem is how to find a job down on the Conejos.
