New Gaiters

Just got done with a fine experience with Blacks Creek Guide Gear.This is a USA made outfit out of Caldwell Idaho. I wanted some gaiters for my upcoming Wyoming hunt and their reviews were good.I now know why.My calves are 18 inches,but my legs are not long."the stump"is what the "Queen"calls me.The owner decided a custom fit was in order,ready in week, no extra charge and made in the good old USA.They also make packs,bow cases,rifle cases, etc. Give em a look see.Buy USA made.

Don't mean to rain on your parade but mine are 22" so maybe I should give them a call I was going to go to rei and get a pair of outdoor research for my Washington elk hunt after your post maybe they won't fit

Excellent company and made in the USA as mentioned. My son and I each have the Blacks Creek Canadian pack and love them as an every-day hunting pack. Elk quarters were no problem in them!

Gaiters came out perfect The only thing to come up was, I got to talking about a pack for my mule deer hunt with Len.Next thing you know,i've got the "FIX" pack in my hands.Perfect for my needs,spotting scope on one side,bog pod on the other.I need to go in their showroom in a straightjacket next time.What nice folks.Buy USA.

Just a quick question about gaiters. Do you guys wear them all the time, wet or dry conditions? I see guys on tv wearing them in perfectly dry conditions. I only wear mine when it's wet.

In dry conditions, they will keep out insects, grass seeds, etc.. The problem (to me at least) is they are hot if the weather is warm.

Iplan to waer mine on horse or mule back depending on my luck.I think they would be good on 4 wheeler also.

I wear mine everyday all conditions. Lots of brush sage are tough on pants. They also keep stuff from getting in your boots.They are not just for snow. Etc are

I wear em all the time. Area we hunt though has a lot of water, marsh, creek crossings, seeps.

good way to help keep ticks from crawling under your pant legs and making home under your sock and inside of your leg, yuck!
