Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been deer hunting in Texas my whole life. Now at 51 I'm at a point where I can afford to hunt elk and want to start hunting every year. I really like DIY tent camping and hunting with a muzzleloader. Colorado is the closest for me and I plan on applying for preference points while hunting with OTC tags. I'm have a custom Hawken .62 cal built that I think would just the ticket for hunting the dark timber. I am going to use this year for researching and getting in shape for 2016.
