I was just wondering how many folks were thinking about paying the $50 bucks for the 2015 MRS Book. I haven't decided if I am going to pick it up yet or not. I keep all of my old copies of the magazine for a few years before I trash them anyway. The book would probably free up some space in my bookshelf though. (I also haven't subscribed to the digital subscription to get the "extra content" as they say, so that's really the only reason I was thinking about getting the book. It's hard to scribble down notes and such on a kindle screen. )

does this mean that the content of the MRS sections in the magazines will be changed or limited in some fashion?
Nope, all the new stuff will be the same as it has been in the magazines. Just compiled by state to make it easier to research a singular state.

I'll probably buy the book. The MRS is the main reason I subscribed to the magazines anyway. I also tend to keep my old magazines for some time before throwing them out, the problem is that I never do anything with them or the articles I rip out and I end up with boxes full. Having it all compiled in a book will definitely be easier for me to reference than a paper-clipped pile. The other thing is that, while I enjoy the magazines, I haven't been reading them as diligently as I did the first few issues.

I have been thinking about it...Will the book have all of the historical information in it, or will it only have the new stuff for the year? I also keep my old issues because I like knowing how things have changed over the year.

I am trying to answer questions at stops on the road, so bear with me. The best features of the book is that it includes all parts of the state info in one place, so you can research a singular state early and take notes in the book.

We will also be including some editorial, gear reviews, and pertinent information if any has come out.

The goal is to give subscribers an even better research tool, and them when 2016 rolls around you will have the book to compliment the up to date magazine MRS information. No more tearing out old stuff and stapling together.

I would think the book would become outdated rather quickly. Like what has already been said I keep old editions to see what changed as that is just interesting to me. I too primarily subscribe for the MRS stuff. So would I buy the book, yes. I think the MRS stuff with WYO is pretty fluid and changing but when it comes to MRS stuff for MT they are pretty stagnent, I just don't care for their their writter Jordan Breshears so any change from him is good, that guy still writes the same stuff from years ago, not much changes. I wish I could get paid yearly to recycle articles. Guy writes so much better and keeps up to date.anyway I will likely get the book.
