new boots?

My friends sport around Kenetrek boots and have had nothing but great reports about them. This past season I put tons of miles on a pair of Asolo boots similar to these:Tribe GV, http://www.asolo.com/eng/prod_det.php?area=3&catid=23&itemid=188 but in last years model. I have been absolutely stoked with the results. Totally waterproof, support my ankles and they take a beating. Good qualities in a boot!

I have to say that my Vasque Breeze have served me very well for the warmer summer months and into the early fall season. A nice pair of insoles into these puppies and you can walk for days and not realize it. They're pretty inexpensive, too. The one downside, I believe, is the grip on wet surfaces like smoother rocks and down trees; they can get pretty tricky.

i was at Cabelas in Phoenix this weekend and looked at the Meindl's Perfekt 7" Hikers. if i were in the market to buy a new pair this is the pair i would definitely be purchasing. anything else would be a dis-service to my feet imho
