New Aussie

G’day,
Im a hunter from Australia, I predominantly hunt deer here in Aus but I also do a lot of hunting in New Zealand. I was lucky enough to hunt Moose in Western Alaska back in 2016 and harvested a 69 1/4? booner!
Here In Aus and NZ Most of my hunting is back pack hunting which I enjoy getting as far away from civilisation as possible.
If anyone has any interest in hunting over here feel free to touch base! I enjoy helping other hunters out and seeing them succeed.

Those dark deer are Sambar deer we have the only free range huntable population in the world. IMO the hardest of all deer species to hunt and we can hunt them for $40 a year, all year and unlimited number of animals

Yeah I love eating them, when they are rutting they are a bit tough. They are very much solitary and very hard to pattern. Finding mature animals such as these is very hard

We have it pretty good here, plenty of hunting year round
