I'm ordering a new tikka t3 lite for my wife in a 7-08 and was wondering what everyone uses for bullets and what powder? I think I will be trying 140 Berger vld's 140 accubonds and maybe 139 sst with probably h4350. What are your loads for a round like this. Thanks

X2 with Druss. I assume you want to reload but I have found some great factory loads that run great through my kids savage the 140 accubonds.

Yes I will be reloading my own. I will probably start with the 140 accubonds. Does anyone reload for the 7-08? Curious what powder works good in this caliber.

I've got an A-Bolt 7-08. Ballistic silver tips over 46 grains of IMR4350 3/4" groups at 100. Works great for deer. Prolly want a bonded bullet or a barnes for elk

I love the 7/08. I have two, one remington 700 and one m70 fwt. I shoot 139 grain hornady btsp's over 50 grains of h4350 and 120 tsx's over 45 grains of rl15. these are on the warm side but i have zero pressure signs in either of my guns but as always work up - both are tack drivers

Im currently experimenting with rl17 to see if i can eek out some more velocity out of the 139-140 grain pills

I reload my kimber with 145 speer BT or grand slams. I use varget or 760 powders. Just harvested a sheep in the brooks range at 404 yards quartering away shot . Recovered weight of the speer BT 103 grains.
