Good evening everyone, had some exciting news to share from my family...some how my son and I both managed to each end up with WY moose tags in the random draw!!! This coming on the same week my wife asked for a divorce, which in all honesty has rocked the foundation of my family and consumed a lot of my focus as of late. Still...over the moon excited about something positive right now and the opportunity my son and I will share this fall even though the tags are in different units. Might have some questions later on for anyone who might have more experience in my unit (24), but can't quite believe it turned out this way, and can't wait to share a (hopefully) good story come September/October! Take care for now...

I am sorry to hear about the family issues but congratulations on the tags. You and your son will have a great time.

Sounds like full freezers at your house this fall!

If you got a tag in the Snowies let me know. I thought I saw a black SUV leaving a clump of aspens last fall when elk hunting and realized it was a great bull moose. Quite a few around in some areas.

Life is just sometimes messy, man. Sorry to hear about this unexpected fork in the road. I have several teenage/young adult kids with significant mental health issues, so I can relate to heavy duty family 'stuff'. I'm typing this from the parking lot of the rehab center where my 17 yr old receives treatment. I had to make an unexpected trip across the state yesterday and spend the night in Des Moines to support him. It really is true what they say: when life throws you lemons, make lemonade. Hang in there, you guys are gonna have an awesome hunt!

I saw a couple of big bulls when I had a cow tag for the Snowies 2 years ago.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! Unfortunately it is not a tag for Snowies, both are the western Part of the state. Still going to be an incredible experience, can't wait to see what's in store!
